I can't explain it...

Hi! I'm back! I hope you're doing well. I hope you're better than well! I hope you're doing fantastic or least on the path to fantastic. Let's be honest, things haven't been great. Things got messy...then messier. I do feel like, for me & my house, things are heading back to "normal." New normal but still. I changed things up. I will only be sending out this newsletter on the last Sunday of every month for now. For about 2 months I completely stopped writing. I called it "taking a break" but what break it was! Fortunately for me I have an amazing support system & with a little nudging & encouragement I am back on track!

I set up my home office to inspire & I adore it now! I got a Chromebook, which turned out to be an amazing suggestion from my home girl, Terri A. Wilson. I've also started taking writing classes on Skill Share. I HIGHLY recommend this. It's been enlightening!

So, now that I am back on track I have projects coming up! I am currently still writing in the "12 short stories in 12 months" challenge. (I missed March but I pushed through in April.) I was accepted to write in the "Crimson Moon Hideaway" series with some of the MOST incredible authors I know. I'm so excited! This will be my first stab at paranormal romance so I'm interested to see what this wacky brain of mine comes up with. That story will come out in April 2021. I am also writing in a YA Grimm Fairytale anthology that comes out in January 2021. I, of course, picked Cinderella! I can't wait to show you what I've done with this story!

That's all for me in the writing world for right now. In other news we did use quarantine time to make a list of things we needed to get done at the house & I'm happy to announce that we just crossed the last thing off that list this weekend. In not so great news we found we will have to end up making a new list but this is more "wants" not "needs." Coming up next weekend is a rib cook-off between my wife & my dad...never a dull moment in Lori land!
